Maybelline Colour Sensational Matte Lipsticks // Review

I'm very sorry that I haven't posted since October. I had a lot of schoolwork to focus on and had no blog motivation, but I want to get back into blogging this year.

I wanted to get back into blogging with a lipstick review, and straight away I knew what I wanted to talk about. In September I picked up 3 of the Maybelline Colour Sensational matte lipsticks, as I'm a huge fan of lipstick, and an even huger fan of matte lipsticks.

I bought '950 - Magnetic Magenta', '965 - Siren In Scarlet' and '975 - Divine Wine'. Magnetic Magenta is a bright pink colour, similar to MAC's 'pink pigeon', Siren In Scarlet is a bright red, similar to NYX 'Amsterdam' and Divine Wine is a dark red colour, that isn't similar to anything I've tried before.

These lipsticks are so amazing. Something I find with 'matte' lipsticks is that they aren't really very matte, but these lipsticks are. Although the colour range isn't amazing, the colours I've got are incredible, especially Divine Wine.

I would definitely recommend these lipsticks.

Benefit They're Real Mascara // Review

On the plane journey to Fuerteventura, I picked up the Benefit They're Real mascara, because everyone's always going on about it, and it was a lot cheaper on the plane than it is in shops. I paid around £16, and I'm very disappointed.

The first annoying thing about this product is the actual result. It clumped my lashes together and made them feel really disgusting, and gave absolutely no length to my lashes at all.

Another annoying thing is that it's literally impossible to get off. I spent about 5 minutes trying to get it all off my eyelashes, and woke up the next day with it all smeared down my face.

Overall, this product is not worth the store price of £19.50. To be honest, it's not even worth £2.50. Would not recommend.

Have you ever tried this mascara? What did you think?

September Favourites // 2015

Quick note: Sorry for the way my blog looks at the moment, if anyone knows how to edit the options at the top of my blog (download, technology etc) please let me know!!

September has been and gone (a long time ago), which means it's started getting colder outside, and it's almost Christmas (too soon?). I wanted to share a few of my favourite things with you.

The first thing I've been loving is one of the new Maybelline Colour Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks in 'Divine Wine'. It's a really dark red, and I don't have anything like it in my collection, so I've been loving it a lot this month as the weather's  started to get colder.

Another thing that's made its way to my wish list is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. I've been using a tester of this and it's absolutely amazing. It goes on my skin really well, the coverage is amazing and it doesn't go patchy throughout the day, which is the problem I've discovered with my beloved Vichy Dermablend.

My final favourite this month is my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I've hardly used this in the past, so decided to put it to good use this month, and I love it. I really like all the colours and it's so easy to create a makeup look without having to use different palettes.

What have you been loving this month?

Blog Motivation

You might have noticed that I haven't blogged in a few weeks, and for that I'm really sorry.

I've had a rubbish few weeks. I've had things going on with friends, stress at school and I've just not been motivated to open up my blog and write about anything.

I thought I'd put up this post to help anyone else, who's feeling really uninspired about blogging, and wants to get back into it but doesn't know how.

Set aside time to write or take pictures
Once you get out of the habit of blogging, it becomes really hard to fit it back into your schedule. Set aside some time to write a few posts and get back into it.

New post ideas
I had some posts lined up that, to be honest, I wasn't very excited about. Blogging is so much easier when you're passionate about what you're writing about, so change up your posting schedule to fit in some posts that you're excited to write, and get rid of any that you're not interested in.

Don't feel guilty
I spent a long time feeling guilty about not posting. Sometimes people can't post. It's as simple as that. With everything going on at the time, it would have been difficult for me to put up a post I was proud of. So don't feel guilty, everyone needs a break at some point.

Talk to other people
I've neglected a few blogging friends recently, because I didn't feel part of the community. Once you start posting again, try and reconnect with people, as being part of the community helps you to feel motivated.

What do you do when you can't get motivated?
